Welcome to SST

On 13 August 2018, SST hosted a group of visitors consisting of educators from Nanyang Girls High School.

They were given a brief introduction of the school and brought on a tour of the campus.

We would like to thank the group of visitors for making the time to visit SST.

This blog is created especially for you to serve as an alternative interaction platform where our conversation continues!

  1. Luis Lioe says:

Thank you for sharing generously with us about the whole school programme and approaches. We really learned a lot from the sharing as it helps us to see the possibilities of what we can do with our students as well. I am personally impressed with the level of confidence and passion that the students from SST Inc exhibited, that shows what capacities that we can have our students to develop beyond the academic. Thank you very much!

  2. Huang says:

It’s very impressive to know that the students are given a lot of hands on sessions and freedom to driven by their own interests. The Teachers are also very blended in this technology culture.

  3. Sarah says:

This learning journey has been eye opening and effective in observing education with a different lens. The school tour allowed for an authentic observation in students’ learning and curriculum practice. An insightful experience allowing for reflection on the pertance of space design in achieving a school’s strategic direction.

  4. Lim Ai Wah says:

Thank you for hosting us. it was very informative visit and the generous sharing was much appreciated. Some practices for eg school culture are food for thought. The school is really well equipped and students have many opportunities open to them.

  5. Khoo Xiang Yun says:

I felt like the way SST has structured their curriculum around the application of technology amazing. The focus is clear, and I could see that gradual increase in complexity of what the students create in their tasks. Students are also intrinsically motivated as they have a choice in what they want to investigate/ create/ study, and it is evident by how they can choose to stay back after school to work on their own projects, or how they stay up late to debug a programme. The use of space and structure also makes the classroom more fluid and gives the teacher more ideas on how the learning experience can be redesigned. It has been an eye opening experience and I am thankful for the sharing by the team and by the students that we have met.

  6. Dr. Liu Shiueh Ling says:

Thank you very much for the insightful sharing on Education Technology at SST. Your students impressed with their passion in learning and their confidence in presenting their projects. There are many takeaways for us to improve as a school moving forward. We hope that there will be more collaborative opportunities between the students of our two schools in future.
